I feel this way when I am consistently lifting. But in times where I’m forced to take a break from the gym, I go back to missing it.

Yeah bro take some time off, just don't stop for good or you'll regret it.

If lifting is getting stale because the weight is hardly increasing over time anymore maybe try gaining like 25lbs, it doesn't have to be permanent, you might prefer being a heavier bodyweight even.

I've been there bro, it starts getting boring when the results don't come fast anymore, but you're forced to keep doing it regularly or go back to being skinnyfat, a twink, orjust a fat@ss.

It happens man. My gym closed a few years back, and the one I joined as a substitute had zoomers and cameras everywhere. I didn’t want to work out in a place like that so I just paid for a bench and some weights. Threw them in the room with a treadmill, and it’s been good.

Every 19 year old and her younger sister were shooting some bullchit in stripper-wear in the gym I was in. The broccoli brahs were even more obnoxious. Don’t need that in my life.

Yea Im just doing it for maintenance at this point, mostly just to avoid becoming skinnyfat

Im thinking of taking a month off hoping that it'll light a fire under my ass. But with my current diet I feel its a risky move

Once you get near your natty limit and switch to maintenance, it becomes just another thing you have to do. I still do it though, would rather be in shape than out of shape

Getting a home gym is looking more and more appealing these days. Too bad I have no space for it

spend a week or two switching it up. One week, do only body weight exercises then another week do only kettlebell exericese, and the next week do all of your workouts outside, etc.

Have felt like this for the past 5 years or so, been lifting for 15 years total

My advice is just get your workouts done quickly

Honestly 30mins is plenty of time

For example chest day

Flat bench 3 sets
Incline bench 3 sets
Some sort of tricep pull down 3 sets

Done

Why go 4 times a week if you’re not into it though? I’d still go but you can get everything in 2 days just to maintain your physique:

1. Upper
2. Lower

I feel that man. I’ve fallen out of love with the gym over the years but whenever I’m out for more than a week I miss it and feel like a sloppy, weak failure, so I end up back on my routine.

Try switching it up, maybe focus on cardio, take up a combat sport, train for a competition. Keep it interesting. Just lifting weights is only one minor part of fitness.

When I was in my early 20s all the older brahs at my gym told me how lifting becomes a chore when you’re in your 30s

I said, “Nah, no way. I love going to the gym, they’re just lazy”

Now that I’m 33, they were right. I gotta drag my ass into the gym everyday. I used to get pissed off if I had to skip a workout, now idgaf … almost look forward to skipping some days

Edit: And I have a home gym, so I don’t even have to worry about broccoli cut zoomers and thots with cameras

I can definitely understand this, fellow Crunch brother. There's another gym I've been wanting to check out, but it's significantly more expensive and a lot further away so...

Same situation for me. It's hard to commit to joining a further away gym when you're already lacking motivation.
