Is the United States now the bad guys, using weapons that the UN has banned?

It was just a year ago the White House said these weapons went against the laws of war (whatever that is)

Now we are supplying these same weapons to Ukrainian.

Are we now the bad guys?

I've come to realize the American people really aren't all that good. They are selfish, greedy, and violent. And aside from a minor high point during WW2, still marred by human rights violations and war crimes, our foreign policy has been absolutely disgusting, full of naked imperialism and warmongering. At no point has America ever properly delivered on its vision. It is instead a lie. This country exploits the labor and resources of the rest of the world and its own people as well.

You should get out more, really. People are decent. They do not exploit labor and resources of the world, the corporations you tend to blindly support and follow do.

I do agree America has never properly delivered on it's vision, I don't think it ever shall, but it's an inspirational one and something worth trying to uphold. Makes it all the more harder to see it subverted so grossly by politicians bought off by special interests, the MIC, foreign influences and such.

I concur as a general sentiment applicable to the average citizens from nations across the world, but focusing on the US specifically, we seem to be seeing a divergence where political ideologues whose only commonality with the America you speak of being the name only, as their values, morals, and entire view on politics are incompatible and contradictory. In essence, these are the people who have become fanatical towards the establishment in power, neither questioning nor criticizing the next round of political dogma put forth by the government and media.

The war in Ukraine is the perfect example, where there is open blood lust on display by politicians who refuse to entertain the idea of peace in a war that we are ostensibly not directly partaking in, which is then mirrored by the aforementioned devotees. It is when you have people whodon'twant peace or resolution in any way, only prolonged war guaranteed to ensure the suffering of innocents, where we see the true colors of so-called American "bad guys." In the case of the current administration in power? They are absolutely the bad guys, but at this point I'd qualify those who blindly follow them, parrot their every talking point, and defend their ongoing war against everything the country was founded on.
