I honestly don’t think I would be able to date someone who makes bare minimum $100k base per year.
My ex girlfriend made $170k base plus around $30k bonus per year.
I only make $80k but still wouldn’t settle for less than $100k a year, preferably closer to $130k plus.

Wouldnt say its wrong, but it is kind of stupid.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I've made a thread like that on here before. This place is full of people that don't want their women woking because:
- Archaic "in the kitchen cooking or cleaning and raising kids" thoughts.
- The closer to pay she is compared to you (or god forbid is the breadwinner) the less respect she'll have for you.
It's BS to me though. If you want an even better living situation, to live very generously and be generous for both of your families, to give your kids the best possible financial stability and future possible, you should both work.
The only time it doesn't make sense for the wife to work would be if her income was lower than the costs of childcare ($750-$1k/mo at a public daycare on average, or $2.5k/mo for private nanny on average). So taking taxes into consideration she should make like $50k+ just to break even with a nanny, and maybe $100k+ for it to add enough value to the family. If you go the cheaper public daycare route then maybe closer to $75k for it to be worth it.

And yeah, the closer she is to your income and especially if she earns more, the highest the chances of divorce are. Thats the #1 predictor of divorce, wife getting a raise and outearning/equaling the husband, triggering her natural "i want a man that has more than me" mentality. This isnt just redpill/blackpill bull****, this is statistically proven to be right.
By all means, you do you guys. Go be a goldigging man lol (crazy to think 15 years ago we shamed women for having that mentality, now its men that think like that). At the end of the day, when serching for a woman to be the mother of your kids and your life companion, if the money she makes is on your list of priorities, you probably should stay single. There are 10+ much more important traits to look for in a woman.

Why even have kids when 80% of the time they are being raised by daycare, public schools and TikTok. At that point they aren't even your kids anymore and you're not controlling anything they are being exposed to and being taught.
Women are hypergamous by nature, this is a fact. They are better suited in general to raise children and play a supportive role because biologically this is how they are made. Society forces them into many roles which are unnatural and mismatched for them so I wonder what is the archaic idea here. Society forces "equality" when biologically this is an impossibility. And now you get all these problems because of people being put into and convinced to doing things not natural to them. Now it is understandable that families need a dual income nowadays by necessity but as a man it should be your goal to achieve financial stability. What good is this so called financial stability if they are just being raised by the public and becoming pure NPC bots, being infected by woke, liberal, feminist, lgbt ideologies and the parents are too busy working to truly educate and guide them. Is it worth having a 3000 sq home only possible with your wife working or moving to a cheaper cost of living area, downsizing a bit but being able to have the flexibility for her to only work part-time to stay at home full time. If a man is making more than enough money to support everybody, it makes no sense for the wife to work unless you want a bunch of NPCs or you just don't want kids at all. Alot of that additional money is basically just feeding a capitalist/consumer-ist lifestyle let's be honest.
You wonder why society and households specifically are going to complete chite. movement in a direction doesn't necessarily mean progression.

Imagine a woman that stays at home, grows her own food and cooks you unprocessed meals everyday , takes care of your 5 children and takes them out to play and raises them properly (not let them get addicted to iPad and tiktok videos), has skills and enroles your kids in activities which she can help your children with and she is highly family oriented. I could go on
But nah, a 6 figure woman is better than that, lmao

I agree with your initial reply to mine, but I'm personally at a point where my income could cover myself, a wife, and dependents. Things might be tight if there were too many kids though. But all that to say, if you want to be generous with your family, and generous with her family, it's in your best interest for the wife to make more to better afford being able to do so. Unless you're like a $300k+/yr VP/lawyer/surgeon or something, it might be hard to stand ground as the beacon successful family that helps out the other relatives with financial strife.

STEM women can also make a lot of money (engineers, tech, doctors, etc.) but usually dont persue those careers out of status or solely $$$. Typically, they are more masculine a bit as well with gender roles, so care less about the guy being the bread winner. Though do agree there will always be that biology at some level.
When I was dating women I cared far less about how much a woman made and far more about how much she spent and her views on consumerism. If your woman is a spender, then whether you both make 100k or 500k she will find a way to burn through it. If she is a natural saver and doesnt care about keeping up with the joneses then she could be a teacher for all I care. Definitely needs a legit career and not something dumb like retail , barista, bartender, etc.
All this to say is I ended up married to a doctor in a specialty (lol) who makes literally multiples of my income. I make solid money myself (~150k) and am definitely more financially savvy than her so handle all finances, and havent had an issue with losing respect or anything. Though wouldnt lie if it isnt a concern that is in my mind from time to time (that I never voice for sure). But MOST doctors are in these situations and its pretty common when the doctor is a woman to earn more than their guy, and tbh havent seen any divorces from our peers.
Sure you can point to the higher likelihood of divorce and I wont go against data. But if your choices are lower risk of divorce with you as the bread winner but when it happens you get financially ethered, or higher risk of divorce but when it happens you are ok or get a payday, then tbh seems like both sides of that coin are set up for a raw deal. I grew up in a divorced family where my dad got financially castrated and vowed to never let that happen to me. If my tour is ever over it's good to know that I can land on my feet.

It's not wrong, but good luck finding it and keeping it.

Some jobs naturally attract more clout chasing women. Lawyers, consultants, business execs in finance, marketing, etc. are women that pick those careers solely because of money and status. So they are going to be much more sensitive to the career of their man and the perception it brings, and are likely the ones who are more into designer cars, fashion, vacations, etc.
If you meet a wholesome woman with excellent traits for marriage, and she happens to make good money, by all means do it. That brings other issues such as childcare, home care, etc, but at the end of the day, as long as shes a good woman, then thats what matters the most. Still a good woman can be hypergamous, but still, is a risk that everyone should gauge for themselves.
The problem is people that would disregard a wholesome woman with great wife traits, just because she doesnt make good money, and would rather be with a woman that makes good money that doesnt have close to those wifely traits. IMO you should look for a wife first, not a roomie to help out with the bills. If you strike the lottery like you seem to have (for now) and shes both a great wife and a great earner, well good for you, but that is extremely rare.
Personally, id rather have a woman that stays at home, brings zero dollars to he household, but is an amazing wife, takes cares of the kids, of me, of the house, etc, things that are basically a fulltime job as well. Then live the lifestyle that whatever my current income allows us to live. If i can afford a luxurious life, great, if i can only afford a decent life, thats good too. If i cant even afford a decent life and we are struggling, then i shouldnt get married or have a kid in the first place. Thats how i see it anyway.

Women making 100k/yr are gonna be old/fat/ugly.
I'd rather cream pie a broke ass hot 18-22yo myself. Her finances are irrelevant because I'm never going to depend on her for anything but making my penis throw up.

i just wanna make 500k-$1m/year and have her make $100k+ and consooom with no kids (maybe down the road when im sick of travelling/working out/growing the business, doubt it) but take care of my parents.
agree with the above idea of her $ just being extra. I want to make enough to cover everything myself, and then have her bring additional "fun money"

Agree Ken to look for those wife traits
I will also say , and this is just based on personal experience, that the man being the big earner and the woman being stay at home mom does not automatically equal respect. I grew up in the south so that’s a very common arrangement, and so many of these wives were bitches that had their man on a leash despite him providing everything. They dictated what he could spend money on, when he could see friends, where they went on trips, etc. again, small sample size of just personal experiences but imo you need to also bring value outside of your paycheck
There is truth to the “beta bux” thing IF the only trait you have going for you is bringing in $$$. But if you are assertive in other ways, good personality, interesting, fit, etc then that will go even further to gaining and maintaining respect.
Basically, be more than your paycheck. That’s been my approach anyways lol
