So registering a vehicle in Las Vegas is a PITA if you have a vehicle newer then 1968. My 1979 K10 would need to have cats and any emissions equipment, and pass a smog check every year. Fuark that. It's modified and that's way too much work to change that. This year they changed their antique plate requirements, and now vehicles can't be used for daily transport and need to be driven less than 5k miles per year. Plus they need mileage disclosures every year.


There are apparently law firms that help people get tags and registrations from Montana so people don't need to pay sales tax on new cars and also not deal with emissions or registration. Vehicles in Montana older than 11 years can have permanent tags and registration. Has anyone here done this? Who did you go through? Is it worth it for a classic?

I remember someone posting this clip years ago. Boomers don't consider old Hondas classic cars, but old camaros are ok because that's what they grew up with.
