Is Complainmaxxing the only way to get ahead in clown world / inflation?

When I was in college I got a hot pocket that had no filling inside. I called hot pockets and complained and they gave me a couple of coupons for free hot pockets. This led me to just calling companies at random and making chit up to get free chit.

Right now on a work trip my hotel room didn’t have hand soap and my takeout dinner was super slow. Normally I would let this go and not think twice about it. But I’m thinking I should go back to my college days and start complaining about everything to see what I can get for free.

Anyone have experience with this?
