ITT name an industry, and something that is ruining it

I'll start. Gaming. Pay to win is destroying it. Total cancer to the industry. Phones could have done so much for gaming, but they turned it into total trash. Find me a good phone game that isn't a blood sucking nightmare.

Now instead of seeing a good debate, or talk, all I see is some YTubers reaction & commentary to the original video. Just give me the OG video in my feed, I don’t need to have the video interrupted 5 times by your damn commentary to get through it FFS.

Annoying af. A 2 minute clip turns in 15 with all the commentary. Some try to fit commentary into the clip and just talk over the stuff you want to hear. The only time I thought it was worthwhile was with the "lawtube" group. Only because they are actual lawyers who clarified the meaningfulness of certain things that happened in court.

I think it's just nolifers that grew up and have disposable income. I have an exfriend who nolifed with me in WoW. Dude still plays. It's all he does outside of work. So now he spends like $500/mo on WoW tokens, transfers, and other bs for his hardcore raiding guild. (He's in one of the top guilds.) People just have money and more money than time.

Music industry ruined by Youtube.
Everything that's crapped out today is geared towards accumilating views on Youtube - whether real or fabricated. Most of these "artists" are borderline illiterate and previously would never have been able to defecate their material on mixtape and attract an audience of actual human beings to consume it. Record companies and radio stations never would have given today's pop stars the time of day, whereas Youtube gives them a venue to thrive on.

Technically Napster circa-2000 was the first venue that ruined music production, but then Youtube became the dominant entity.

I want to agree with this 100% but I can’t. Some of the stuff I’ve heard from small channels is really good, and some covers sound better than the original stuff. Usually classic rock covers.
