Proof that women really do get paid less than men
The soccer match between Australia and Denmark was the highest rated program of 2023. It was watched more than the state of origin and the AFL grand final. So why are women's soccer players getting paid so little if they attract such huge audiences? Shouldn't their pay reflect how much money they make for sponsors?

One example isn't the general case. No, women's soccer doesn't generally attract higher audiences than AFL. When have you ever watched women's soccer apart from this once every 4 years world cup?

Actually due to some of the provisions in their contract, the US women's team (that is already eliminated) will make more than the actual winners of the men's cup.

So the US women's team are relying on men to give them a lot of their money. And the men's team members makes considerably less. It's some hardcore discrimination against US men's soccer.
So the US women's team can lose early and still get lots of money from the men. No wonder they lost early.
