Is this an overreaction?

I'm checking out at the corner store, picking up some bottles of water, energy drinks, and instant curry ramen. I have my wallet out and finishing my transaction and a random stranger comes up shoulder to shoulder with me, about 8-10 inches from my face and expresses interest in what I'm buying. He asks hey what's that (pointing into my bag that's on the counter).

I'm uncomfortable at this point because this dude is almost right on me while I have my money out, and now the store owner starts to PULL MY ITEMS OUT OF THE BAG to show this stranger. I make a hand motion to for the owner to stop pulling my items out of the bag and so "No. I'm just trying to get going right now man." and I take the bag. Stranger was like "Daaaaammmnn" like I dissed him, and the store owner was visibly taken aback.

I found the whole situation kinda sketchy because this guy was basically right on me, but apparently my reaction was maybe a bit too much. What do you guys think?

Reps till i'm out for real answers. Maybe I should have asked for a little room, but if I were at the ATM I wouldn't ask for a little room I would just bounce if someone was being sketch.
Hoistin' heavy-ass s**t since 2006.

Really common in my home town. I just walk around acting crazy and hard at all gas stations so they won’t bother me.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone asks me a question and follows my answer with 'daswussup'.

It's one of the few things that really triggers me.

If I'm driving, I'll stop and make you get out of the vehicle. If we're in a building, I'll ask you to leave, even if it's your house.

Fuk that guy, he sounds insane and the store owner is a retard for unbagging your stuff to show him. Makes no sense, nothing good could have possibly come from this. It’s best you just gtfo, unless you want to potentially get into an altercation with this weirdo.
