Why do grown asss men spend their time watching comic book Superhero movies?

Why do they watch sports?

Why do they watch useless TV shows?

Why do they watch the WWE?

Why do they waste endless time watching useless youtube videos?






I say all of this as a guy who has logged less than 10 hours a year total average on playing video games for the last 15+ years.

I would play video games if there were any good ones nowadays srs

Use to love video games growing up but nowadays just think all the new games are dog chit.

Cash grab chit like mystery boxes or battle passes, most games not even finished but get released anyway. Then gameplay nowadays is just repetitive grindy chit boring as fuk after 10 minutes.

I have a Nintendo Switch that I have some oldschool games for. Mostly anthology collections of old 16-bit era games, some 8-bit. Wouldn't mind trying some 64-bit ones or legit quality remakes of certain old games, but they seem few and far between.

I have a few of the newer games for the Switch, but I haven't been able to get into them for the life of me. I did get a new Zelda game I should really try at some point, but I can't get over the fact that it's 2023 and they still make Zelda game games look so cartoony.

Why do people do anything? They're just trying to pass the time between the responsibilities they have to do.

Video games are oddly the best bang for your buck in terms of entertainment. Sure, the console can be a bit pricey, but the games are about $60-$70 for 25 to as long as 100 HOURS of entertainment. what other leisure activity can provide that amount of entertainment for that long, and at that price?

-Recreational activities can be cheap, but they're also exhausting and the preparation can be time consuming (packing all the gear in the truck then driving to some destination to set up and play the sport). most people play video games after a long day at work and just want to relax.

-going to the movies alone is about $30 (not including the gas to get to the theater) for about 2 hours of entertainment.

-going to an amusement park, the wasted gas to get there. the fee to park in the parking lot. the fee to get INTO the park grounds. the fee to buy snacks. the fee to participate in the rides. Thats easily a couple hundred bucks for a family of 4. OR you can stay home and load up Mario Kart (that you bought back in 2018 for $60) and get the same level of entertainment that has already paid for itself multiple times over.
