From on MGM+ (possible spoilers)
Kept hearing a lot of people talk about this show. It's directed by one of the directors from LOST. As someone who was a big LOST fan I have to say this show is a complete ripoff of it.
The positives, despite it being a ripoff, it is still entertaining for what it is. It's unfortunately just nothing new.
***Spoilers ahead with a basic review of the first 2 seasons and how it's almost a straight copy of LOST***
1. It's essentially all about a bunch of people who get randomly stranded in some magical world - instead of a plane crash bringing them to an island, it's a fallen tree everyone encounters while driving where the split from the real world occurs.
2. There are other people who come for them at night. This time they are real monsters it seems, but they draw parallels to "The Others" in LOST. Granted we do eventually find out The Others in LOST aren't anything scary. Nonetheless, we have our heroes under threat from these other beings each and every night to fear similar to the first few seasons of LOST.
3. They rig up a radio at one point to try and communicate with the outside world. A voice comes on over the radio before it gets destroyed. This is literally a straight ripoff of our LOST characters traveling up the mountain to locate the radio tower and try to get out a signal.
4. At one point there's a couple characters who theorize that this is all one big experiment and none of it is real, which mimics Desmond being in the hatch pushing the button. The huge debate about whether pushing that button was real or just some experiment to the point our LOST characters fail to push it at one point.
5. At the very end of season 2, we finally see one of our characters in From escape the fake world and land back in reality, just how some of our LOST characters managed to make it back to the real world temporarily. No doubt this woman who has "escaped" will find her way back to her family in the fake world to help them get out too.
Overall it's watchable but it's essentially a low quality LOST.
Since I picked up the free trial with MGM+ to watch it I've since shifted to Chapelwaite to binge and will say it's a much better series. If you have to watch something on MGM+, it's the better option.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

When I saw the show was done by some of the people from lost, I lost interest.
Looking back years later I realize what an obnoxious show it was and how dumb the ending was.
From seems like it follows nearly the exact same formula, and I get the vibe they have no real direction or plan for the show after a certain point so it will just become a free for all of retardism like lost was.

To be honest it wasn't the fantasy aspect that made it so good. It was the character development. People who thought some magical island would have some neat and tidy answer with why everything was happening are the ones who were retarded. Talk about putting unrealistic expectations on the ending. LOST was always about the characters, not the island. The only people disappointed in it were the group of viewers who were more interested in the island. That's on you.
