1. The internet is often used as a medium for disgruntled folks to congregate and whine. E.g., this forum;
2. Gen Z face a gigantic problem, but hope isn't necessarily lost:
3. Many persons are unhappy - but a significant portion of them live in a misery of their own creation. E.g., "Life isn't fair - I wasn't born wealthy, so may as well not try." - wildly irrational choices that have a devastating impact on one's life prospects.

Miserable ppl are more vocal about it. If you're happy you don't feel the need to announce it to the world
Step away from the media, doom scrolling, and the internet, and the world isn't nearly as terrible as you think it is

Yes I'm insanely unhappy with life.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I don't get this weird idea that the point of life is to be happy all the time. Or even most of the time. You're supposed to feel a lot of stuff, at different times, over different things.
Though I do think that the balance is a bit messed up these days, with a catastrophe on the news every 3 seconds, and a bullchit economy.

Some folks are, but somewhere along the way folks think something is wrong if they are unhappy. If you have reason to be unhappy: they may be weighty ones, e.g., your wife died suddenly in your arms. That can "stain" your potential for happiness for a very long time, and...that's fine.

Chris Farley and Robin Williams are good examples.

Well op when life was tough we used to come here and laugh with the boys, talk cars, vacations, purchases, women, bodybuilding, and fitness.
Now it is the reverse here, where the stories are weirdly sad and depressing and very few posted like before which was positive supportive bros.

There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!
