It's a pretty nice concept. I've used them before and their service is pretty good. You can return the car within a week no questions asked, I did this because I decided to go with something else at the time and the whole process was smooth af. You do 90% of it online, show up, sign some papers and you're gone. Any time I want to browse cars I go to their web site. I see this company bouncing back HARD

Took a glance now.

No P/E ratio. A massive red flag.

Weak fundamentals and massive sell walls at $50 area. No buying pressure from below.

No buy ratings from any analysts.

Chart looks bad.

Anything is possible, obviously it can go to the moon, investing is like that, but I would not touch this. It looks like total crap.

Thanks for the input. But doesn't pretty much everything except blue chips look like crap right now? Analysts are still predicting a recession

I'm uneducated on this topic but I doubt Carvana's going to go bankrupt. It might take years but maybe it'll go back to 3 digits. Interesting to watch though. After seeing what happened to GME, a company that I personally think won't last long term (digital downloads, amazon, etc.), anything's possible tbh.

I'd consider maybe throwing $1k-2k at it, just for giggles and seeing what comes of that in some years' time.

It started the year off at $5 and interest rates aren't going lower anytime soon.
Probably won't go higher than $50 in the next 10 years.
They also don't do anything that can't be easily copied.

Not even worth a gamble.

Never heard of them before your post. Used car sales. Obviously they spiked during the Covid/Supply Chain/Chip Shortage etc, drama because with new unavailable the used market went gangbusters.

That's now over.

You wouldn't rate them today against their peak during that unusual period.

I don’t bother with recession talk or short term “now” considerations. You gotta look at the company. For example: n-vidia can not make chips fast enough. Everything they make will always be instantly sold to Tesla or China. So even its insane $500 stock price is totally fine.

Or take Apple. They will always make phones, people will always buy them, and thus you as the part owner of the company will always get paid. It’s the law, publicly traded company MUST pay you. Short term economic swings and emotions of buyers and sellers are irrelevant in the long term.

But carvana? I’m not sure… ARE they going to succeed? Certainly I would bet Tesla and the likes of ******** and bitcoin and even sp500 would outperform carvana. But I could be wrong.

Another thing is I don’t understand car selling business, so I would never invest in that
