Does ageing and wisdom ruin movies?

Hearing the guy starting a job as a renderer which he knew nothing about reminded me of this scene in Magnum Force, where Dirty Harry pretends to be a pilot to take down the hijackers.

Always and still love Dirth Harry, but now watching this scene I'm thinking stuff I wouldn't have before.

Wait, Dirty Harry is a homicide police detective who just happens to be at the airport when a major terrorist hijacking takes place, and after asking "Have you called the FBI?", he decides to single handedly tackle the situation by pretending to be a pilot. No permission or co-ordination with proper authority, not even his own SFPD boss is informed until he's on the plane. Younger and dumber me didn't see any of this and just enjoyed the scene for just being badass!

Yeah. Life is rough once you lose your childish innocence.

Realizing that they are pieces intended to persuade the feeling of being a badass, in reality it might make a cop want to become a hero after watching this and getting himself killed./...

Yes that. And we say "it didn't age well".

No, you didn't age well!

Suspension of disbelief does get harder as your understanding of how the world works, but sometimes, you just got to say "fuk it" and enjoy the show.

Now, there are "stupid" writing and decisions that make you say "WTF?! Why'd they do that". Then you appreciate smarter writing. Instead of plot devices to just drive the plot rather than smarter decisions.

This is why I can't stand horror movies. It has to be driven forward my constant dumb decisions to stretch it out 2 hours.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.

Oh yeah, and always the shoe coming off or the sprained ankle. Chances of that when women are running from axe wielding murderer, 100x normal.

he also walks through the streets shooting everyone while eating a hot dog, Then when he is done just leaves. no paperwork or anything like that.

Just drives away.

They are just silly movies, not documentaries.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

My favorite is when bullets are zipping around the characters and they're just walking straight ahead firing their own gun like it's all no big deal.

N*gga just get down like the rest of us
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
