Once the show realizes it sown formula and starts to exploit it us when it loses its touch.

In my opinion the show ends with the Russians, because they really harken back to his past and he kind of admits that while even though (light spoilers)hl he "defeats" them, it's really more of a stalemate as he admits they're way worse than his troup. I thought that was a cool way to end things.
