terrible store. Small sandwich, standard ice cream. Tiny energy bar.

Would cost $10 in a lot of contexts. $4-5 ice cream, $4 6", $1 tiny energy waffle

Yeah but at the same time, the minimum wage(or entry job wage)in most states have gone up even higher. But yes, anybody who wasn't and isn't earning the minimum wage is getting screwed. McDonalds around me used to pay $12/hr just some years ago and now they're paying $17/hr and most bottom wages have gone up so high in the last 3 years so that businesses have to jack up their prices to pay their workers' insane wages now. That's why mandated minimum wages shouldn't exist.

Nowhere is minimum wage $17 lol. These companies are paying way higher than minimum wage now, because it has not kept up with inflation. Wages have gone up to compensate for inflation, not the other way around. Remove minimum wage and nothing would change. Not even a 16 y/o retard would work for less than $15/hr in 2023 that is literal slave wages now.

Name not checking out. Minimum wage plays almost role in most prices since mega corps almost never use cost plus pricing methodology. They use market based pricing.

e.g. western europeans and australians pay less for a big mac, even though their burger wagies make 2x-3x more than the US.

Actually in Seattle, the legal minimum is $18.69/hr. And there are many cities that have simillar legal minimum wage like that. Also there are many regions or states where they pay $17/hr at McDonalds(when I said minimum wage, I meant BOTH legal minimum wage and practical minimum wage).
