Mmm...Coffee

I enjoy foo foo coffee sometimes, though the chain stuff is usually so sugary it is gross.

Flavored coffees are very hit and miss. Can be very nice, or could end up in the bin.

I took a chance on this one and I like it.

This is my third morning and I'm rocking it with a couple of shakes of salt, a generous dash of cinnamon, a few drops of vanilla, a teaspoon of sugar and a shot of whip cream on top.

Not sinless at all, but definitely nowhere near the sugar and calories of the usual hot milkshake concoctions selling for at least $5.

And this is at aldi right now for about $5 a bag.

I want to get some more before it is all gone for the season.

I think it would be good with some liquor too if you are into that.

Most artificial flavor stuff is meh or outright bad. I tried a bag in the spring that was labeled creme brulee that got binned.

What’s wrong with normal coffee? Why do you feel the need to have coffee that’s flavored with nasty chit?

$5 is not bad, I'll give this a shot. I have pretty much given up on homebrew flavored coffees because of the artificial taste.
I like Starbucks Veranda blend as my go to homebrew.

I like normal coffee too. But I like different kinds, I don't stick to the same one everyday.

Some are very good black, some are better with salt or sugar or cinnamon. Some play nice with half and half and some are overpowered by dairy.

If I find something I like a lot [flavored creamer, type of coffee] there is a high likelihood that it will disappear never to be seen again. It keeps me moving on searching for the best stuff.

Not to me. Though palates aren't all the same and I have been adding extras per my OP.

I saw this and pumpkin spice in the same display and saw that this one seemed to be selling more. Gave it a chance.

When I opened it there was a hit of that fake syrup smell, but not too much. I like it.

Can't stand flavored coffee for whatever reason. Even with something as basic as cinnamon, and I love cinnamon.

Wow thanks katya. You should review coffee blends more often imo. I have long said onhere I have an drinking 2 pots per day. And during the week there’s at least 6-8 stops at Dunken, McDonald’s, Starbucks, or gas stations for huge Ventiis. Coffee is the brew of gods.

That in the op looks too sweet for my tastes.

I like creamers. But I never add sugars or sweeteners. Any sweetness comes from the creamers. Sugar free. I don’t do a lot of beverages that are too desserty. Just not my cup of tea….

I mean my cup of coffee not tea of course!

Little bump.

- first aldi I checked yesterday didn't have either pecan or pumpkin flavors

- later in the day I was near the original one and they were down to 1 package of pecan and near a full box of pumpkin

- $3.95

Pecan would be good

Around this time a year I love Wawa pumpkin spice. I always pick one up for my dad on the way to him or vice versa.

Those would be worth trying.

If you like these flavorings buy good coffee and then Torani syrups. They have the sugar free ones as well, they are good.

I find the flavored coffee like mint they have at christmas is pretty bad. Better off buying a good espresso roast and then a Torani mint syrup. Or just make simple syrup and throw in mint leaves and make it yourself

Good way to go if it works for you. I've tried syrups in the past and couldn't seem to get it right. Too strong artificial sweetness, or not enough flavor and sweetness without using a lot.

I like caramel/salt type flavors and cinnamon and hazelnut and vanilla...but most of the time it's real cinnamon added if anything.

-ish?

I drink coffee without any dairy or creamer more often than with it.

It truly just depends on the coffee, depends on the day.

I hadn't ever bothered with using extracts before so far as I can remember. Saw an episode of Suits that mentioned adding vanilla extract. Nice. Not everyday, but nice...with some salt and a little sugar it makes me think of butterscotch.

Black coffee crew, but I respect all coffee drinkers because it doesn’t affect me.

Lucky enough to have a local roasterie that has fresh ass coffee beans, grounds or served within 2 miles of my house. We usually buy some beans, and grind them up for a fresh pot.

Not looking to upscale into chemex, or other time consuming coffee formats except for French press on weekends.
