This is how the great Tenochtitlan used to look, MOGGINg EVERYTHING EVEN ROME

No AI bs the artist who made it used actual archeological evidence there's plenty because mexico city is sitting on top of it. Mogger city on a lake with mogger temples and it also was an utopia compared to european cities, houses had running clean water, sewage with actual water managment, they had universal public schools, elite warrior class with lots of culture and mythology, public hospitals and health facilities and so on. Greedy kunts destroyed it afterthe conquest, they use the stone from the temples to build their churches forts and cathedral srs.

Some side by sides with mexico city, as you can see the whole city is built ontop of a dried up lake, the lake used to be an important part of tenochtitlan as they had a system of a vast networks of canals that people used to move and to transport goods, it was something like an american venice, the whole city was built on top of artificial islands made by their engineers, they even built those islands to far on them. There are still some areas in the city that still have some of those floating islands:

They didnt need them, they had very elaborate social customs, religion and political system. It was a very complex society even warfare was very ritualistic and their tactical goals where never the destruction of the other army or their cities. They even has public post offices and a vast network of messengers and curriers etc.

It is only taking a few thousand to bring down modern western civilization. Amazing we just don't toss them all into a volcano.

I’m guessing lack of access to tin deposits making it impossible to learn metalworking to the degree that Europeans and Asians did.

And they got conquered by 500 Europeans. Brutal.

Those demon-worshipping cannibalistic savages got absolutely obliterated by Christ-backed warriors in a most righteous fashion.

Plus 200K native troops that agreed to bring down the mexica empire since they were tired of living under their boot. The elites of the tribes that allied with the spanish did very well for themselves after the fall of the mexica empire.

People in power never seem to last because they always overuse it, given enough time.

Cortes defeating the Aztecs is probably the greatest military achievement in human history

Imagine going into the unknown and defeating the native army on their own patch while being completely outnumbered

Cortes and his men could have been wiped out during La Noche Triste but God and fate was on his side

yes. they did impressive large scale terraforming in order to build the floating city, it was safer, cleaner and more comfortable than rome. They had running water on every house and water heather systems, they took baths daily btw. Public schools public healthcare etc and the city was perfectly designed to suit their needs.

A lot of the world is like this. Buried beneath the modern world. We think we are the intelligent society and beings of our world in the timeline, but we have no idea.

Power attracts the worst and corrupts the best. Just the cycles of life. Pretty amazing achievements though.
