Iโm 43 and Iโll make 70k this year. Next year, my my new degree and job/pay rate, Iโll make $83-90k (depending on whether I teach summer school).
What happened? I donโt know. Iโm pretty happy with that given that I like my job.

Plebs need to learn its not about your salary... its about your savings rate, investment rate, and living within your means. If you can master those things, you can live like a king on 80 grand. Most people live beyond their means which is why they need to keep getting paid more. Work/life balance at 85k a year is SOOO much nicer than living at work with no social life for 150k a year. Ask me how i know.
I have a buddy of mine thats a pain clinic doc... makes like 400k a year and hes broke af. Has literally nothing saved because of his medical school bills and his lifestyle creep. His house is a little bigger than mine, but we basically both live comfy lifestyles... eat at the same places, do the same chit for the most part. Consumerism is what makes most people broke, not their income unless its sub 60k a year.

Do you mean 150k?
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

In a position where $33/hr allows me to survive on working only 25 hours a week because I was smart when I was young. Bought a house for $170k with 3.3% fixed rate. Refinanced it for a 2.25% fix rate. (Now has $125k in equity) Mortgage down to $900/month. Girlfriend pays me $600/ month for rent and utilities. Paid off my car before it had 40,000 miles. Still have $25k in a high yield and max a Roth IRA every year. Just smart decisions.

I have a little over $1900 free cash flow per month.
You don't need a 40k car when you can get a great one for under 20k used. Don't buy $1000 phones. Get rid of that student loan debt. Use cheap cell phone plans like Tello/Visible. Never use delivery apps. Meal prep. Cook from home. Don't finance items that aren't a house or a reliable car (using 20% down, three years, less than 8% net rule). No Credit card debt ever.
