Although it sucks living in the house directly perpendicular to the outward facing street because someone could drive into the culdesac and either drunkenly or accidentally (their brakes give out) plow dIrectly into your house.

It's great, cuts down on traffic.

Cul-de-sacs are based. GOAT situation for little kids if there are other kids of similar age nearby. Otherwise, I'd go for a larger piece of land on a back road.

Its the GOAT. I only have two neighbors to worry about on each side. No-one is behind us. No thru-traffic. Very little traffic at all down my street. Pretty much only residents/people visiting residents. Its extremely quiet. And due to the nature of the lots. We get a bit more side yard for our backyards.

Nay. There's hardly any parking for guests.

But you get last front yard. Bye bye RV slot.

I've family land to park boats/RV's on. 4 acres worth. So long term storage space is a non-issue.
My garage hold's 2 vehicles and my drive-way holds 4. I'll be widening my drive-way so it can hold 6 cars total. So my truck/GF's SUV in the garage. 6 cars in the drive-way. 3 cars can park in road in-front my house.

I really don't anticipate having more guests over then that but if need be they'll have to parallel park up the street other-wise. Or if its dry I can fit 3-4 more cars in my front yard. I consider my cul-de-sac situation the GOAT because its just fields/woods in the back.



A corner lot with two separate street sides can be ideal of hosting guests because you have a ****load more parking along the road along your property. But its a lot higher traffic around. If I didn't have an option of woods/fields behind my house I'd probably pick a corner lot for the space.
