A Cleveland man tackled a home intruder to the ground and pummeled him in his foyer after the suspect entered the man’s house and locked himself inside with the homeowner’s wife (video below.)

The incident began at approximately 9:30 a.m. on May 5, when 45-year-old Khaalis Ricardo Miller knocked on Verdi and Angela Adams door, claiming he was having problems with his vehicle battery, WOIO reported.

The stranger told Angela Adams he needed help jumping his car, so she told him she would let her husband know when he returned home so he could possibly give him a hand, according to police.

Verdi Adams said he helped Miller out when he arrived back at his house and the two men then went on about their day, WOIO.

But hours later, Miller showed up back outside the couple’s residence and allegedly started pounding on the door.

The Adams said Miller told Verdi Adams his car still wasn’t running right, so the courteous neighbor headed outside to see if he could help him, WOIO reported.

But as Verdi Adams walked out through his front door, Miller walked in, closing and locking the door behind him.

Home security footage showed the intruder heading upstairs to the second level of the house where Angela Adams was located, WOIO reported.

Verdi Adams busted down the front door and went in after the suspect, pulling him down the stairs and tackling him onto the ground during the ensuing brawl.

The video showed Verdi Adams climbing on top of the intruder and punching him at one point.

Police arrested Miller later that day and charged him with aggravated burglary, WOIO reported.

A judge set his bond at $10,000 on Thursday morning.

The case will be presented to a grand jury, according to WOIO.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. There is no place in society for people willing to commit rapes and violent offenses. Just end them. We're way too soft. Any crime committed using a tool of intimidation should be a minimum automatic 40 years in prison. As a civilized society, we should not put up with criminals willing to threaten harm among others.The most disorganized move I've ever seen, although not the most annoying one. Yup. He's 45. Grown ass man. No excuse. If he were 20 yrs old, I would say he still has a chance to turn his life around, so send him to jail and give him a chance to rehabilitate, etc.

I'm not married yet, but if I were married, and some man broke into my home and went after my wife? The police would find a corpse on my front porch, after I dragged him out there, with me sitting on the porch waiting for them.

Forget beating him with punches, he's dead. God will understand I was protecting my family.

I see no reason why this 45 yr old should just be sent to jail with the prospect of getting out again someday. Just end him and move on, he had 45 years of life to get it right and this is who he is. Send a Pastor to his jail cell and give him a chance to find God before his execution, but that's it.

I would need to know the political affiliation of the victims before deciding if I feel bad for them.
