Mid Air Collision - Reno Air Races
Seems like it happened again (30 minutes ago). Happened last year aswell (1 death).
Not much information but seems like two T6 aircraft (photos below) crashed right after the main/gold T6 Race. They finished in the first and second places and crashed right after.
RIP

No footage or photos yet.

But the same is valid for other types of racing aswell.
For the unaware:

Some information:
"After the race they were recovering the aircraft (cooling it down) and they hit each other, one aicraft lost its tailplane and went straight to the ground. The other kept flying but eventually crashed. Both pilots are dead."
Btw, the Champion is the number 14 (white and red T6). RIP

I mean RIP, but this is pretty clearly a “play stupid around, find stupid prizes” type situation.

PS: Don't eat poop, just don't let the idea of it stop you from living life to its fullest.

Obviously when it comes to flying we try to control the risks, but as soon as the wheels come off the ground we can say we are "playing around".
More Info:
Races cancelled for the day. This year would be the last so, probably no more air races. Sad way to end.
