English is more superior.

It allows for communication.

Math is something you use every now and then(acktually youre probrably always using math but its automatic)

Even your accent can say a lot about you.

English is one of those useful tools from the West, although it doesn't sound as aesthetic as Viet(Native language).

If you can read, you can learn math. If you are illiterate and can’t do math, you might recognize numbers, but you might not know what they represent.

This theory has been tested several times. The most educated people in society at one time were those who could read German. The Germans had translated as many texts as they could in to German from many different languages. In the Hapsburg empire, a lot of Czechs couldn’t read German, so they remained poor. THe Czechs that took it upon themselves to learn German prospered. In early America, Germans were so good at math and engineering that they were commonly hired to run railroads, and they perfected engineering feats like piano and bridge building.

So I would have to say that learning to read English in today’s world will get you farther than just knowing math, because math can be more easily learned with English.
