Everything got worse on the internet after Harambe died

Remember that gorilla that died at a zoo in 2016.

After that everything become so much more cringe online. People posting lame unfunny memes and posts about the gorilla.

It lasted months and months as well, lame unfunny unoriginal posts about the Harambe.

It was a trigger for other lame unfunny viral stuff online.

Yep. I genuinely think it was the harlem shake and that chitty mannequin black beetles challenge was the start of everyone following degen 'trends' for views/acceptance. It was during those 2 trends I basically really checked out of social media





Harambe and kony was the start of everyone basically feeling sanctimonious and virtue signalling hard. You had mf'ers acting like they were activists when they couldn't even point out Uganda on a map.

Lots of that 2012-2016 internet culture killed the internet.

Everyone used to want to be famous, then everyone wanted to become viral now everyone wants to be a quick 10 second meme as everyone’s attention span gets smaller.

Used to cringe when people used to post Vines.

Vine was a social media platform that people posted 5 second videos on in 2013-2017 before being closed down.

Vines were mega cringe and the worse man.
