Glasgow/10

They need those to keep the tens of thousands of junkies off the streets. Glasgow looks like a scene from The Walking Dead right now. It won't become nationwide.

Glasgow definitely has a drug problem but plenty of areas in England just as bad. London would be an easy area to say but even surrounding areas like Portsmouth is really bad for junkies.

That's a fair point, there are other UK areas with high levels of Class A addiction. However, an idea like this would only happen in Scotland via the SNP (who use it as a political maneuver against Westminster, to push for decriminalisation). There's no way parliament would give the go-ahead for this kind of scheme in England. They know it would, at the very least, lead to Class B decriminalisation, which would be an excellent idea, but they've been resisting it for decades.

The thing about the UK is England use Scotland as a guiney pig for new acts and schemes a lot of the time. If the facilities are successful in Scotland then I could see England adopting their own version of it. If they don’t really seem to make a difference westminister will probably maintain their stance on drugs.

I think it’s a good step in trying to counter Scotland’s drug problem but honestly don’t think will have that big of an affect in all honesty.
