Been on the phone with this company for 3 hours because they keep denying my medication

Nope, can't get a prescription filled if you have insurance and they deny it
This is after my doctor sent 3 prior authorizations and a week of being completely out
Now I'm sitting on hold to wait for one of their teams doctors to have a consultation with me

Honestly wish I was poor AF and on state insurance at this point

Since when do they not let you pay cash if insurance denies it? Health insurance is a pain in the azz but this sounds more like a pharmacy issue

Naw, my insurance is considered pretty God-tier. No copays and medications are usually less than a dollar to fill
But they've done this like 4 times despite it being the same medications every time

When I was on state insurance years ago they didn't even question controlled meds.

That is because every plan has their own approved medications and the list changes daily.

If it's not a controlled substance just call the doctor's office and have them fax it over to the pharmacy. If it is go pick up the rx from the doctor's office and take it to the pharmacy.

Here is what I think is happening. The doctor knew it would get rejected so they didn't even bother to send it to the pharmacy just sent it in to insurance and were done with it. Also a lot of doctors don't even try with those prior authorizations. It looks like a 2nd grader wrote some of them. Ded srs

Every major health insurance carrier in my state sucks balls so I'm not trying to carry water for those azzholes but the doctors are also to blame for the current chit show

Four different pharmacies keep telling me that because I have an active insurance plan I'm unable to fill without it running through the insurance, first

Do you have to tell them you have insurance? If you walk in with a paper prescription and hand it over, say "no insurance", then they should just fill it, yes?

ETA: No insurance here and I use Costco for prescriptions.

As far as I'm aware, my state's pharmacies are all connected
I've gone to a brand new pharmacy and they already had my information
So, more than likely it's some new crap the governor decided to change regarding our healthcare

As a first gen naturalized immigrant I’m 100% America baby, but even I gotta admit the healthcare here is trash.

The only reason it’s so bad are the absolutely useless insurance companies. They offer no value, no service, nothing. Why some nepotism hire in a suit can override a doctors recommendation is legal is as confusing as how lobbying (bribery) can be legal.

You don't need those medications.

Those drugs were created by a rabbi to keep you lazy and compliant
