Yes
Democrats are not allowed free thought, if they do think freely they get ostracized and criticized and called racist and fascist and no one wants to have that happen so he tows the party line

Dude is 55, has that Bruce Wayne look(appeal) and style and is fast on his feet.
Seen him a million times on Bill Maher and he knows his stuff even if you dislike his policies.

Its mind boggling how Newsom is allowed to single out a specific industry and tell them what they have to pay their workers.
Insane.
A new law in California will raise the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 per hour next year

Probably doesn't want to face Trump. He would have won a contested primary against Biden IMO, but then he'd have to face Trump, which is a wildcard and not as easy to beat. When Trump whups Biden next year he has a perfect argument for 2028 by being younger and slick.

What's funny is most people think that different politicians actually have different platforms. The only dems that will ever make it through the primary will all carry the water for their parties interests. It's why a corpse like Biden can somehow survive 4 years in office-- the guy is an avatar, just like all other dems would be. Some are more charasmatic than others, but it's just different people selling the same stuff.
It's much the same with the establishment republicans. The only ones offering something different are the true progressives on the left (which are ostrasized by their party), the RFK Jr's of the left (who is also ostracized by his party), and the Trump/Vivek brand of the republicans (who are both marginalized by the left and right).
We need to stop pretending that 99% of the politicians aren't going to do the exact same thing while in office, regardless of what they say on the campaign trail or how charasmatic they are.

-- raising minimum wages only cuts into that tiny margin
-- The impact is either higher prices, fewer employees with more automation, or going out of business
-- This also kills small businesses as the only business that will survive are the mega corporations with deep pockets (which aligns nicely with the current democrat agenda, despite their longstanding history of being for the middle class and small business)
It's essentially the dumbest policy imagineable with easily forseeable consequences, but it makes a nice headline for a day I guess?

***California voters chose not to recall incumbent Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom***, elected for the term January 2019 to January 2023."
2. Yeah many are similar and play in the same club, but we all would not be so wound up if they were completely the same.
3. You see how aggressive and "dikish" people here are to one another, so to me that means there are policy differences......or a whole lot of aholes?

As someone who has suffered under the draconian rule of this POS governor, I can safely say you guys have no idea how bad and outright dangerous he would be anywhere near the White House.

Between now and the cutoff dates for the primaries, the DNC will weigh up whether they think Biden can win. If they decide he can't win, he will "have a stroke" and stand down as a tragically heroic figure who did so much for the country and could have gone on to even greater heights if not for this misfortune.
Biden not running has to be for reasons that the GOP can't campaign on, so it needs to be a sudden medical reason, as opposed to him having pudding between his ears.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for any of the resident forum jesters to name a single Newsome policy that would be a good thing for the US considering the absolute third world dump that California has become thanks to him.
