Anyone seen Wrestlers yet on Netflix?

Just caught the first episode and thought it was pretty fun. Will always be a fan of Al Snow. Pretty interesting watch, outside of the extent they covered that trailer park chick. The whole thing is of course created as a work within a work, but will give it a chance.

I’ve still only seen the first episode and will tune into more, but…

- Follows OVW in Kentucky—more of a typical documentary format rather than reality TV
- Al Snow has an ownership share, runs booking and creative (but tied to investors who later pop up); another familiar guy involved is Doug Basham.
- The work within a work is the relationship between Snow and these “non-wrestling” investors. They’re trying to sell the loose ends in their relationship for the camera, and a lot of other stuff is just people (trying to be) in character.
- Talent mostly comes off as neckbeard white trash who don’t have “it”—particularly the single mom smoker girl they cover heavily in the first episode.
- Producers successfully fulfill showing wrestling as trashy fans and degenerate wrestlers who aren’t all in.
