Week 3 in Korea

The amount of discrimination here is crazy. Socially the most common phrase is "Korean only". Went to get a massage and the masseuse stopped my massage because a Korean guy came in and then came back later to finish up. 6 years in China and never once was denied entry into any place socially whether solo or even with Chinese friends. They card everyone no matter what age so you're "fuked" either way. Accidentally went into this one place trying to find a different one and I could have been in a club in ATL. Have seen wanksters, shirtless foreigners walking around the street, and everything in between.

Before the only things I had ever heard about Korea was just stuff about the military. Nobody ever talked about the discrimination or restrictions that Foreigners have against them here. Really an eye opener and quite an unfortunate thing. I understand that there's more to a country than just going out clubbing or drinking, but it's surprising or maybe not. On this facet alone China is far more tolerant and open.

White. Don't be fooled by what people tell you because as someone living it right now, in some ways yes and in definite ways no. They just don't tell you about the no parts. As someone who lived in China during the pandemic, it wasn't that bad. Never did a quarantine, never got COVID. While y'all were locked down and fighting over toilet paper and stuff I was going out with friends, restaurants, etc.. Life was more normal in general in China than it was in the US. Again, don't be fooled by what comes out of only the big cities. The West only hears about Shanghai, Beijing, and maybe Guangdong (not counting HK because it's not mainland). Those big cities are not an accurate representation of what is happening as a whole. It's like taking what happens in NYC and saying that's what America is. Unfortunately though, it's actually true.

You're welcome to come here with your whiteness and try to go to a club and get told Korean Only. I'm sure you'd feel the same. White privilege meant more in China than it does here. What's the big difference between China and SK? SK has military kunts getting in fights all the time.

Also your outside of Seoul which I heard discrimination gets much worse. In Seoul its pretty bad as well. I heard recently there was a restuarant in Suwon that didnt allow foreigners.

I believe they have the lowest birth rate in the world. they're pretty much doomed unless they flood themselves with foreigners because they'll have an aging population while the majority of workers in a successful country are younger
