What would happen if Israel just didn’t do anything in response? (srs)

I don’t have a dog in this race

I just wanna know from a strategic standpoint what would happen? Would Hamas get mindfukked by it and then eventually launch a second offensive?

Please don’t just hurl insults. I just wanna know step by step what you think would happen if Israel just came out and said “Yea we’re gonna take the high road and leave Gaza alone. We’ll think about how to solve this through non-military means.”

How would everyone react?
