Schindler's List was one of my favorite movies... (srs)

Now that im a bit more aware... kind of feel dissapointed about the actual truth behind the movie. Now the thought of a maniac german liutenant randomly shooting at jews while laughing like a villain seems a bit silly now not gonna lie

it's ok, OP. I used to be an atheist and listened to Tool and thought that manlet f4gg0t Maynard James Keenan was the deepest artist evar. And I really thought Rage Against the Machine would actually rage against the machine.

We were all at one point in our lives a useful idiot.

I'm honestly embarrassed that I thought Saving Private Ryan was such an awesome movie.

Looking back on it now, it was straight corny as f/ck. It had all the usual emotional manipulation tactics that White boys always fall for like this right here:

I roll my eyes at this now.....

When they die, they're exclusively fully grown evil men rather than scared teenagers and early 20s like so many of them were in real life. That had to have been an intentional casting choice to make them less sympathetic. Most people (myself included) never noticed this but our subconsciousness absolutely did.

Never noticed that. But it makes logical sense to have the Germans be as NPC and unrelatable as possible. I also noticed how none of the German soldiers had blond hair. I guess the producers and director knew that having tall, blond Chadly German men would make them seem TOO appealing.

So they basically chose guys that looked as far from German as possible.

Yea trust me, I was indoctrinated in 8th grade with the holocaust narrative. My history teacher spent the entire year on it. He actually spoke at Auschwitz for some anniversary thing for survivors. We had Elie Wiesel (Weasel lol) speak at my school. I did a project at the end of the year with my english and reading class (both honors classes and were basically like AP high school classes) that was 92 pages long, laminated, in a binder, and had my mom help me design and create this project thing. The entire thing was a mixture of holocaust stories, poems, and my thoughts and comprehensions of them, and tons of other stuff.

I got like an 84 on that project. 92 paged laminated binder of holocaust victimhood for a B. My first ever B on a project in my life. I remember flat out saying I don't give af about the holocaust anymore. I watched The pianist, Schindlers list, and all these other stupid fukking holocaust movies.

ALL LIES. ALL. Elie Wiesel...LIAR. We were all like trauma shocked from the propaganda thinking about these germans just randomly stopping and blowing heads off of Jews and all this chit. I always knew there was something not right about what I was taught. It always seemed like it was never enough. I'd say something and be told things like "You just have no idea the horror the Jews faced. You never will."

Thanks to the internet we all know now that they're dirty liars. 95%+ of it all fabricated lies. Imagine saying that they used to put jews in a cage with a bear and an eagle for fun every day to watch them die and think that's believable lmao.

That would make sense. We went over things like WW1 and WW2 as well, but it was ALL about the holocaust and the persecution of the Jews at the hands of the evil doers called Germany/Nazis.

Imagine propagandizing and traumatizing 8th graders with fake narratives and insanity. The school system is fukked up.

Thats what Lincoln wrote (a lie, obviously... but at least he showed some respect when he clearly didn't have to). Even if you don't think Lincoln felt what he wrote, still a great movie.

The corniest war movie ever written has to be is Braveheart.

BTW, my epiphany about Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan didn't arise due to recent events, I came to this conclusion well over a decade ago when I watch Saving Private Ryan and realized just how formulaic, manipulative, and cliche it was.
