What's your take on the flu vaccine?

We've talked about Covid vaccine to the moon and back on here. But what about the less controversial flu vaccine. Do you get it each year? Are you required to get it? You think it's a hoax? Did you ever get messed up from it? You think it's effective? Any thoughts on it in general.

I got it a long time ago I was like 23 and it was offered at work. I got the flu shortly after. Never got a shot again never got the flu again.

My mom gets that chit every year and somehow gets a flu. In fact it seems my mom has gotten the flu usually once a year since I can remember. Maybe it "could be worse" idk. I believe in eating well and active living, my mom does not.

I also wash my hands when I get home after dealing with any public items or people.

I know people at work who get the shot through work and they dont get the flu, but some feel chitty afterwards, some feel nothing.


Thats about all the experience I can offer.

It doesn't work, its based on the last 5 years of flu but they're just guessing as to what the current year strain might be. Its not harmful like the covid vax tho

Never gotten it and don't plan to unless I specifically need to for some reason. Mainly never gotten it because I have a very good immune system and never needed it. That said, I couldn't care less if other people routinely get it.

It's the only shot out of the recommended ones that I skipped for my kids and I've never taken it myself.

was thinking that too but my employer offers them free of charge and encourages us to get it. trying to trace the money flow there. are they possibly billing everyone's insurance for them? if that's the case i think insurance companies would hate them.

ya so thats what my work does, offers it once a year, we have paid sick time and the companies thought is they might save on the sick time, so they bring in shots for anyone who wants one

never have taken it, don’t ever intend to, and I don’t think I’ve ever had the flu that I can recall…. don’t even get the flu shot for my kids either

at this point, in all honesty, I don’t trust that they wouldn’t try and sneak the vaxx into the flu shot in order to get more ppl since there’s obv resistance now

I don’t think you even need the chit tbh

Too many ppl don’t think for themselves and just drink the kool aid of whatever they’re offered or told…. there’s a reason why the term NPC is so popular

The Flu Shot is a relatively safe, but not very effective vaccination using old vaccination methods.

This is because the Flu is RNA based and has a tendency to mutate fast. This vaccination is based on a group of scientists best guess on what the dominate strain will be several years out.

If they guess correctly the vaccination can give your body a quick template to defeat the virus without any/many symptoms of illness.

The issue is that most of the time they don't guess correctly enough and it ends up not providing much/any protection.

In jobs I am required to get it... I do. When I am not required to get it I don't. The risks of getting it are minor.

according to studies the flu vaccine is only around 40-60% effective. no point taking it unless you're old or you have a bunch of health issues that could make the flu more dangerous for you.

As an add on to whats already been posted. If you get a flu shot and have a weak or compromised immune system you can literally catch the flu and get sick.



Vaccines in 2023 are mainly a big pharma money making scam.

Most healthy adults don't need it but it's still a good resources for older people or those with weakened immune systems.

Misc is full of low IQ retards who will probably tell you "it doesn't work". No it works just fine. It's just that most of us don't need it because we're fully functioning. Not everyone has that luxury though and miscers are incapable of viewing the value from the perspective of others.
