The silver lining to aiding Israel and Ukraine

I know everyone's bummed out U.S is paying billions to Ukraine and Israel but I think this sends a message to the world in the long run.

Both Russia and Hamas initiated an act of war. So if U.S. gets behind those subjected to acts of war wouldn't it deter other countries from initiating war?
