I'm in the same boat....I don't even get excited about bonuses anymore. I get 2-3/year when we close out a job. My last one was $7k.....like $3,700 was put into my account........unenthusiastic yaaay....Just moved it into my Merrill Account and bought more high dividend payers.

I can remember the days when I had a couple hundred bucks in my savings account.....a $1k-$2k bonus would make me happy AF....we going out, We eating good, gonna fill up my tank......now a days when I get more money it just goes into the pile. whoopiedefreakingdo.

3600 seems low. When my company was bought out we had shares that were paid out. Was like 11k bonus. Govt took like 5200 if I remember

That gets me too. I used to work an hourly job and would try to work as little overtime as possible. I even figured out how much OT i should work before getting shafted in taxes. I know there was a point for me where if I worked over 9 hours in a pay period the tax rate would increase. Lame.

When I was younger, I worked a job where OT wasn’t worth it, because it placed you in the next tax bracket and it was almost like working for free. That company was super toxic, they couldn’t convince enough people to work for extra hours because of the tax bracket nonsense. (Super Ded fkn Srs)
