Anyboy have TENNIS ELBOW?

How long did it take to fully recover from it, and how do you do it?

Have it now for over 3 months. Doesn't go away with rest, or get any worse with the exercises i do anyway. So I just ignore it as best i can and crack on.

on and off
I think to get rid of it you need to really rest it
Like six month
but I can't do that

When I get it bad I need to sit in the car and wait like half an hour before I can drive after working out
RIP

I've had lower back injuries, knee/leg injuries... I would take those over this ****ing Tennis Elbow any time. This **** DOES NOT HEAL. EVER. I got it real bad like 8 years ago... I still constantly tweak it. The only thing that makes it go away is to like... stop lifting with that arm for like 3 months. It's bull ****. And even if you do that... soon as you start lifting again you tweak it and just constantly deal with the pain. I just accept it now... My right elbow area is always gonna hurt. It never really gets "Worse" though. The pain isn't unbearable by any means... but it's always there any time you flex ur ****ing hand, straighten your arm, or pick something up.

I've delt with tennis and golfers elbow. Been pain free for quite a while and the videos below helped a lot. Never stopped lifting, just figured out what movements were causing/aggravating and fixed my form or swapped them out entirely. Complete rest doesn't help a lot because part of the solution strengthening the muscles around the tendon.

But who was deconditioning?

You shouldn't be resting it. Tendons need to be loaded in order to adapt and recover, all the evidence recommends doing so. The truck is finding the right balance, too much and you'll end up in more pain, too little and the tendon won't recover. Best way is to gauge pain post exercise and the next morning. Some pain during and immediately after exercise is fine as long as it settles back to baseline by the following morning, if not you've overloaded the tendon.

I just bought a tennis elbow brace/strap thing. We'll see if it helps any.
Are you not entertained?

Get one of those forearm wrap things from walmart. Its that black strap thing you see old people wearing on their forearm.

It works surprisingly well. It will still take a long time to heal but that strap makes it fell better in the mean time. I had it on one elbow and the strap worked so well I bought one for the other unaffected arm too just in case.

This was the ONLY thing that worked for me. All the direct forearm and squeezing work, made mine WORSE. This is Jeff Cavaliere, head Physical Trainer of the New York Mets.

Start with 2 handed kettle bell swings, 10 lbs. Progress no more than 5% a week. Eventually progress to 1 arm, then one arm lateral raises. This SLOWLY ADAPTs your elbow tendons.

You're welcome.

Mine's golfer's elbow, which is on the inside of the elbow. I'm just able to do curling movements after 11 months. They still aggravate it though as do dumbbell presses.
