Nov 18 makes 1 year since I've been drunk and

Got off those damn meds the Dr had me on.. now I don't even have 1 or 2 beers. Don't miss it all.not in the least .

I encourage everyone who wants to to just put the time in and do it its as if a huge fog is lifted from your brain.

Alcohol truly is the worst drug ever created. And that does the most harm to our society any society

At the end of the day do what makes you happy. It robbed me of mine and is part of the reason why I'll never let a drop of alcohol touch my lips again .

On spread, but congrats and keep up the good work. Agreed that alcohol is pretty terrible overall. I have it every once in a while with friends, but by and large I avoid it. Feel so much better not having it as a part of daily life. Messes you up physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Don’t worry…take their hatred and demeaning posts as a sign you’re on the right path. For losers, there are few things they hate more than people improving themselves. It exposes their defeatist mindset, because if others can improve themselves then they can as well. It’s just they like to play victim and convince themselves that it’s all pointless, or that they can’t help their situation so they should just lay down and rot. Because of this, witnessing people stand up and thrive really upsets them. It shines a light on their shortcomings.

Good for you (srs). Having said that, it would probably be helpful as well to not consider alcohol as 'the worst drug people ever created' simply because you yourself had an issue with it. We didn'tcreatealcohol, technically speaking. It's just a bi-product of fermentation. It's literally what yeast craps out when it eats sugar. I've been brewing beer and wine for many, many years and it's a fantastic blend of chemistry and art. If a person can't use alcohol properly, it's not the alcohol that's the problem, just saiyan.

Still, I know it's not easy at all to quit something like that, so congrats to you.

Congratulations, I take medication that doesn’t allow me to drink alcohol or it will mess up my liver. I had problems with drugs and alcohol during my early adult years, so now I’m abstaining for longevity reasons.
Exercise will get you through times of ill health better than no exercise will get you through times of good health.
