I thought it was odd that they sent out a notice to ALL residents instead of only sending the message to those who did not pay their rent. Could be just laziness on the part of the staff I guess. But what's next, are they going to push out a by-name list of delinquent renters to the whole community?

The issue with rent is that in order to make the numbers work, most working class people need it to be one weeks take home pay. 25% of monthly take home.

The scam landlords do is say "1/3 of your gross salary for rent" which is like half of take home after taxes and deductions.

Tons of business is like this, particularly where you’re submitting invoices net 30-60-90 and then chasing payment, arguing about the amounts, etc

Really I think only small ticket point of purchase retail deviates from this, in big business you’re submitting invoices net payment terms and there will be cases where you don’t get the full amount on time
