Anyone got the EA Sports WRC?
Just came today. Will be playing it fully next week or the week after.
I turned it on for an hour just to see how it looks and drove a track and tbh the track surface felt flat and a bit wide. The stages are a bit boring looking scenery wise?
Dirt Rally & Dirt Rally 2.0's track felt more detailed and you could feel the hard-ass track surface. Also graphically it looks worse.
Have I stumbled upon a crap track with **** visuals or my first impression is quite correct for the remaining portion of the game?

To me the game looks very good. Not as good as Dirt but still pretty nice.
I've watched the side by sides though and definitely see what you mean by them being flatter, wider and a little bit more underwhelming.
Not a huge WRC nerd so I don't know if they are more realistic. I imagine a lot of the stages are more rutted out and have rougher surfaces that both games though.
I'm seeing that peripheral support isn't too great at the moment too.
I was hoping Forza would have been playable by now, so I've been holding out on it.

They have a free trial on Xbox, planning on downloading that sometime and giving it a go. Looks like a good improvement over the old WRC games.
Hearing how it struggles to best a great game from last-gen though is about the most current gen thing a game can do apparently. Makes me realize how badly games really plateaued for the most part.

Need to work my way through the massive GT7 update first for my simracing fix. Then I'll get WRC a month or 2 later when it's been patched to become the game it should've been at release.
