I used to fly to Asia, Europe and Central America for work, first class, chit was amazing.

Enjoy the fully flat seat/bed, and the free top shelf drinks fam.

The jealous looks from the people waiting to be packed like sardines in economy while you're mid 20s boarding first class...hnghhhhh

Lol, they don't have lie flat seats in domestic first class. It's just a larger seat and they give you food and drinks. Sometimes when you Check In they will offer an upgrade for like $40 and I'll take it, but otherwise it's a waste of money.

Ain't nobody jealous of someone sittting in 1st class for a 70 minute flight from Chicago to NYC.

Jealous. I fly economy when I fly domestically because even the longest flight within Australia is 5 hours.

I flew to Europe this year and it's a long ass flight. 8 hours to Tokyo and another 13 hours from there. A long haul flight in economy is crappy, I know the upper classes are more expensive by a considerable margin but I would have paid it myself just to have the legroom and space to use my laptop.

My flights were covered by my university. Next time, Ima tell them to send me in at least business class or don't bother sending me.


Another random-ass question, but are you afraid of flying at all? Were you ever? How did you surmount this fear?

Personally I was never afraid to fly, definitely excited my first time. I was a big fan of cars since I was a kid, so I imagined it a super fast car (I was 12 when I first flew lol).

No, all my vacations are international, and I don't really need to go more than 100 miles from my home...pretty much ever except for vacations.

One time I was flying coach and they bumped me up to first class. As I'm sitting there like royalty people from coach would walk up to use the bathroom and in my mind I'm getting pissed at the peasants coming up in my area.

Waste of money. Just ask ochocinco.

First and Business are the same on the US Carriers. I think Emirates and the Middle East Airlines still have different Business First classes, but most of the rest just call everything up front Business.

I disagree with most of you. If the money isn't an issue, only fly first class. The size of the seat is great. The food/drink is meaningless. The benefit of United Premiere is at the airport. ZERO lines for baggage drop and skipping all security lines is worth every penny. If you travel regularly for business, it gives you at least an hour or more of your life back on every trip and allows you to be productive instead of standing in line. Getting to the airport with an hour or less before your flight and not having to stress as you blow through the airport and to the gate saves you immensely. Boarding first and sitting in the first row, window seat where you can get to work and not mess with trying to find an overhead bin etc. and then deplaning first and getting the heck out of the airport quickly as opposed to waiting at the back of a stuffy plane and standing in musty air filled with body odor and farts next to crying kids and fat ladies for 30 extra minutes why grandma gets carried off the plane in front of you is priceless.

Skipping through security is definitely worth it and usually you sit next to more cultured people, not disgusting poor swine but the rest of the experience is mid. You still don't get to board first but you do get to leave pretty quickly. The food is ok and the seats aren't all that great.

International first class is wild compared to domestic but it's also x20 more expensive.

I think most people are just used to economy class and the BS that comes with it that they think it's normal.

Life is a hell of a lot sweeter when you fly first class.
