I've always used both too but in like Texas they consider it sacrilege to use them in chilli

99% of the time I use beans

Most people who use pasta use the macaroni noodle...hence the term chili mac.

Though to be honest I make it without beans and slightly modified for keto reasons but don't consider it real chili.

Usually dont use either but sometimes i do beans.
