Just watched the trailer for Exorcist: Believer......LOL...

Sorry, but I just can't take this sh/t seriously.

When Hollywood tries to shoehorn wokeism into a horror movie it just makes it seem like a comedy.

Not only is it NOT scary, it's unintentionally funny. I was half expecting Shanequa to say "We finna possess yo bi/tch as5"

Yes, I know the movie's been released and is no longer showing, but I came late to this party and didn't even realize there was a new Exorcist movie.

Everything I post is satire.

I saw it. What was the problem? Where were the woke parts? Are you saying blacks can't get possessed? Is that only a white thing?

Actually, yes. Sorry, but only supernatural phenomena involving White people would be scary. That's why Japanese horror films can be "creepy" but never truly scary - because I don't fear the ghost of Sakura screeching in her high pitch Japanese voice, it just remind me of J-Pr0n or Hentai.

I also can't take Shanequa seriously when she's twitching and contorting while "possessed", it just reminds me of h0es twerking in a rap video.

I also just got done watching "When Evil Lurks". People are praising it as the scariest film of 2023. But it was meh for me because the film is in Spanish, so it's not scary.

The basis for the original is so far from the movie its ridiculous.

One of the priests involved in it wrote a diary which is online. Hardly any of the stuff from the movie happened other than some kid acting stupid.

The guy said that what was sort of disturbing was they would be in a really serious prayer session and the kid would break into the song swanee river and the top of his lungs. Said he was really a fantastic singer which the family said he never did. The odd part was the timing of it and the great singing voice which was out of character for the boy.

Mention some slight levitation of an inch or so but chalked that up to just flopping around in the bed somehow. It was nothing like the movies in the slightest.

Most of the pre movie possession stories are the same way, very mild.

Saw it out of boredom last week, some parts were okay, but it was actually kind of boring, and the exorcism scene was a joke, almost like an Avengers collection of religious figures.

Plus bringing the mom back for the first one was kind of pointless, and what she had to say about how she wasn't in the room during the exorcism was insulting......

They pay $400+ MILLION for the rights to franchise trying to revive it, with this movie being the first of others planned.

Except it was a colossal failure and getting **** on by critics.

When I saw that trailer a while ago I thought to myself...either they don't know what is scary or how to make a scary movie, or they are doing it on purpose.

The immediate scene that loses all scariness is when the black girl walks in on the dad brushing his teeth (not in this trailer).

It's just awful. It's so far removed from reality that it isn't scary.

The original one was amazing. The eeriness of it. The slow creeping of her becoming more possessed. The fact that the family is sleeping down the hall from their possessed daughter every night while she slowly goes insane tied to a bed. The cinematography and the build up with the priest too.

Im all for go woke go broke but i didnt get any wokeness out of that trailer. What am i missing?

Just because they have black people in a movie doesn’t necessarily make it woke bro lol.

If they “remade” the original and regan was a black girl THEN it would be woke.
