Secret Service agents protecting President Joe Biden’s granddaughter have opened fire after three people tried to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle in Washington.

That's according to a law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press on Monday.

It happened late Sunday night in the Georgetown neighborhood. The official says the agents were assigned to protect Naomi Biden when they saw the three people breaking a window of the parked and unoccupied SUV.

The Secret Service says one of the agents opened fire but did not strike anyone.
What a misleading headline.

Likely a couple of future astronauts doing what they do to parked, unoccupied vehicles.

Where are the gun control advocates asking why you shoot someone for breaking into a car??

Being a blue run city, I'm surprised that the Secrete Service agent isn't being charged for defending property. There is no mystery why auto theft is much higher in Democrat run cities of late.

The only thing that bothers me about this is that the SS opened fire, but didn’t kill the inner city youths- not that I want them dead, but what sort of crappy shots are these SS?

If the law does not allow lethal force to be used to stop a thief from breaking in to a car, then perhaps the agent that fired should be charged.

I find it quite disturbing that federal agents can blatantly break the law. At the same time, they are trying to take our fire arms, and make it more difficult to be armed.

This is tyranny.

I mean, technically we don’t know if he fired at the perpetrators or if he fired into the air to make them run away. With all of the training they receive(both with regards to range time as well as training to operate safely in public) it seems unlikely that the agent would both a.) miss the target, and b.) shoot towards the person without being certain where the shot would. Then again it also seems unlikely that firing into the air would be part of the training. And yes, unlawful discharge of a firearm would be charged for a regular citizen…..just pointing out that we don’t really know what happened.

Discharging in to the air is a felony offense because the bullet has lethality on its descent. They are trained not to shoot in the air.
