I'd rather have access to the US healthcare system.

Imagine waiting months and jumping through a million hoops just for some adderal. It's not even adderal either, it's some chit tier generic brand.

America's got the right idea, just give away all kinds of painkillers and stimulants like candy.

You get the doctor straight away in oz, likewise in many other communist countries. The long wait game is only for UK, because they're only semi-communist.

America is expensive AF, and bad af, but they're the only democratic country in existence. Free healthcare is the sole domain of communists. Better dead than red.

FR tho, I feel sad for USA bros. Health insurance companies turning your country to chit, and no one doing anything about it. I mean sure, everyone should pay for their own health, but I'm also pretty sure an ambulance ride doesn't cost 100k. I rather have a communist universal health system that helps cardio bunnies alongside fat fuks that drank their liver to stone, than the American style of holding your health hostage at the expense of all your wealth. Both are not great, but one is exponentially worse than the other.

Just LOL. Not sure if you're trolling, but if not, you have no clue what you're talking about.

I think a communist approach to the health care system is a must. Take for example, teeth. People are going to develop teeth problems throughout their life and most won't have money to get it fixed. I have 2 wisdom teeth that needs to be removed and it cost almost 1k.

And if not a communistic approach, it needs to be price regulated and technique regulated to bring the cost down.

Any institution the government inserts itself into (healthcare, education, etc.) becomes a complete boondoggle of corruption and wasteful spending

The welfare state dreamed up by liberal boomers and communists will be the end of civilization if allowed to persist

Okay now include taxes allocated toward healthcare, health care wages, education costs, BMI (since we don't have an actually useful way to measure health), etc. You're picking a single point of data out of context. Dumb fukking graph.

Also, what in the fuk is an avoidable death? That is the most vague statement ever. If we include obesity-related deaths, no fukkin chit we're so high.

The graph posted in the OP shows that the US is paying far more money per capita than countries with public health systems, for health outcomes that are the same or worse.

Would this not prove that it's the US system that's corrupt and wasteful?

Communist detected. Free healthcare is the cornerstone of communism, it's literally in the first chapter of the communist manifesto and constantly reinforced throughout.

The mark of a true American, a free man, is the lack of free healthcare. Everyone is responsible of their own person. This is exactly as the founding fathers intended.

If you hate America so much, why don't you just leave to other freedom hating communist dictatorships like Australia or Sweden? Sad!

Are these your thoughts on the graph or just your political opinion on socialized government services? If the former; how does what you say relate to the graph?

at this rate.....Id rather pay a little more in taxes and not have to pay for insurance.

Imagine having to pay $248/month for insurance AND having to meet your deductible of $5000 before insurance kicks in to help and then it's only 80/20......oh wait I dont have to imagine.

Because my wife and I actually make good money, we had to pay about $10k after what insurance "covered" to have our kid about a year ago.....same with all of my other friends who make good money. I have a friend couple who make about $50k combined and qualified for state coverage and paid $0.

lol if you dont think insurance is a scam and is just subsidizing the poor and people who use/need insurance.

The problem is, if you have an orthopedic issue, its still going to take a few months to be seen by a specialist even in the US.

Also, generic drugs are not like generic food products in the grocery store (ex boxed vs bagged cereals). Generic drugs are made under the exact specifications as the brand name with the same parameters, but simply at a cheaper price because the patent for the drug expired. A generic drug manufacturer (like Mallinckrodt) just buys the formulation and required specification of the drugs at every step in the manufacturing process so the results come out the same.

Are they disabled? how is that even possible? Even when I was working in HS I was bringing home about $25k/year. How can a grown ass adult not have the work experience to rise above that?

The dude is low level active reserves and works some menial job filling part orders on the base here....makes about $50k and his wife WAS working front desk at a Dr. Office making like $10/hr but quit because it was better overall if she wasn't working. They both only have HS education....the dude has "gone back to school" several times in the last decade to start working towards a degree so he can move up but just hasn't finished and she has worked entry level jobs the whole time we've known her. Complains that she hates it but does nothing to change, just bounces from 10/hr job to 10/hr job thinking something will be different.

There's so much more to their story, we've known them for about 10 years, but the short is.....we stopped hanging out with them because they are the "victim/nothing is our fault/our life is tough but we arent going to do anything to change it" type and just make chitty life choices....even when all of their friends give sound advise and try to help them out, they do the opposite.

Im rambling, ill stop. They just frustrate me because they used to be really good friends of ours.
