Market is pricing in more rate cuts now, figuring itโ€™s likely rates will be at least 1% lower by the end of next year than they are right now. Previously the market figure rates at the end of next year would be closer to 0.50% lower than right now.

Optimism abounds per the usual

CPI came in slightly cooler than expected, so markets think the Fed is finished raising rates.

Now Interest rates dropped significantly, which will in turn cause Inflation to spike again and keep us in this cycle. Inflation is at 4% still and the goal is 2%, so this nonsense is still a long way off from being done.

By the time this chit is over in antoher 12 months, a lot of people are going to be broke as hell.

"Cooler than expected" so stocks rally, meanwhile food, healthcare, shelter, utilities, and all the essentials we need to live are still increasing in price.

Need to hear some of the talking heads explain how shelter is still heading up even though for months theyโ€™ve been saying the inflation data is looking backwards and real-time declines will show up any day now

Market thinks JPow is going to cut, while doctored inflation numbers are still above 3%. Meanwhile, Moody's talks about expecting "materially and structurally higher interest rates" in the future. And everyone wants to go back to ZIRP fantasyland SPY numbers.

If JPow does cut, SPY is the last thing you should be worried about. That's unmooring inflation and signaling the end of the USD.

Those numbers were nothing more than smoke & mirrors. HIGHLY over-inflated.

These companies continue posting profitable quarters with absurd revenue growth, yet keep sinking lower.

look at BROS, breakeven on profit, hovering around 50% revenue growth y/y for 3 years, stock is down 66% from its ATH.

Similar story with DOCS from a profitable viewpoint, a growth stock with a p/e ratio of 41..... Down 75% from ath.

Companies earning more money today doesnโ€™t do you much good if theyโ€™re not paying anything out to investors, people focus so much on flipping growth stocks but the entire basis of investing is still putting money into something and that thing returning cash to you.

Like if you buy a house with the intention of renting it out, you buy the thing for whatever amount and then it returns cash to you by being inhabited by renters who pay their bill.

Buying growth stocks is like buying a house with renters lined up but those renters donโ€™t need to pay any rent until some given payout date, and then whatever amount of rent they pay would be discounted against interest rates over that time. The longer you need to wait and the higher interest rates over that time, the less that future cash is worth.

Whole system is set up to add as much complication to this as possible, itโ€™s really not that complicated

It's about the outlook going forward, not the past results. Many of these companies are revising down vs what they previously had.
