Most people are retarded AF and live in a world too large for their tiny brains to comprehend.

Assuming you have good health and good finances, life's just about attitude. Enjoy it. You're the main character in your own movie. Be as goofy and jovial as you'd like, or be as serious as you'd like. To not do so is to waste your youth.

It's not about the finish line, it's about the journey. This applies to life/death itself, it applies to retirement, it applies to dating women, and many other things. Self reflect, course correct, when things are crap consistently.

If there's a profession that interest's you, like drawing, game dev, - go intern and get a job early. You don't have to get the proper education for it. Just jump in. And don't make money the reason why you take on any profession. Do it because you like it. I rather make less money doing what I like than lots of money doing stuff I don't like. But since most people fall into the middle with their expertise, they usually do stuff between stuff they don't like and like.

Never forget to love yourself and work as your own advocate. Never get brow beaten into thinking of your basic needs as "selfish." If you don't take care of yourself, and instead seek to care for others, then in the end, you will have nothing but regrets and a wasted life. Be your own best friend, that way you will at least have one friend.

Apply the same philosophy you do to lifting to your other endeavours. Sacrifice, consistency, efficiency, proficiency, setting short and long term goals, stepping stones, etc.

Howdy lift....

Coming from a 76 old fossil, here's just a few from my personalRTLB(rules to live by) list:

8) Talk less, listen more..just because one has an opinion that does mean it needs to be expressed or that anyone actually wants to hear it.
10)Know how to behave in a world that doesn't revolve around YOU.
16)Don't confuse knowledge with wisdom....know the difference and strive for each.

Carry on.

This is a big one. It's hard for people to think longterm. We're more focused on seeking immediate gratification. There is a tremendous amount of value in thinking of the big picture, though. About the forest as a whole and not the trees or whatever.

Literally just appreciate everything. In a blink of an eye your whole world can change and nothing will ever be the same.

Job. Health. Wife. Money. Any of it, none of it is yours, none of it is going with you, in the blink of an eye it can all vanish. Appreciate today, appreciate all you have.
In for pope gains

That compound interest is incredibly important. When I was younger, I didn't give a damn about retirement and investing.

Work smarter not harder.
Get out of bad situations asap, eg relationships, jobs, instead of thinking it can turn around. Life is not a fairytale.
Live in the present and donโ€™t over think.
You have many worries, but most never happen (to paraphrase Mark Twain).
First impressions last, especially in dating you can sense the type of relationship you will have. So be vigilant and cut things off early if itโ€™s not right from the start.
Even in your down times and depressive phases you can make progress that will leave you in good stead. Eg getting in shape, earning, educating yourself.
Things often seem worse than they are and you can get your way out of tough situations.
Enjoy simple things.
Do what you enjoy, keep pursuing and make the most of it.

You need to come up with a reasonable plan based on the time and resources you have available to you. Not "manifest law of attraction" and think positive and "accomplish whatever you set your mind to".

So you only think about jobs, not general self improvement and learning?
Do you know why the "self help" section of bookstores are so large?
