Ubereats was like this before prices went up.
The reason is because they raise pricing for delivery items, plus delivery fee plus tip. So a meal that would be $15 all of a sudden becomes $30.

yeah, since covid. There's the answer there. They charged more because they could. You'd think a "crisis" like covid would make people want to start cooking for themselves instead of getting takeout, but nah would rather get cheesecake factory delivered.
I've never used ubereats or doordash but yeah I've heard they upcharge the fuk outta that. brb get mcdonald's from grubhub brb $46

For example, at Dominos you can always get a pizza for carry out for $6.99. But that same pizza isn't discounted for delivery, so it's like $11 plus $4 delivery fee and $3 tip. So it's like $19 delievered.

The funniest part is they're really asking for a tip at takeout went to firehouse subs yesterday got a medium hook and ladder....
key word: medium...came to $9 for pretty much a 6 inch sub.
When I was getting ready to pay at the touch screen it asked for a tip 10% 15% 20% 30% 40%
Just lmao. The no tip button was in small print at the button I made sure to make it seem like I was squinting to find it and press the button.
