I wanted to say they need to release that Dual Survival Complete Series on DVD/Blu-ray, dvds are rare or non existent for it.

I caught all these beaver last night. Pretty much the ultimate survival critter, and easy to catch. Fur, meat, fat. Hope the pic works.

Also, Check out Les Stroud. He is the man. His crew drops him off with small bag of chit they choose, and leave him for a week. He does his own camera work himself. He pisses all over Bear Grills....(but of course Bear drinks it as usual.)

I had the pleasure of guiding Paul Kirtley this past winter. Winter camping and trapping beaver and rabbit and stuff on snowshoe for a week in the northern bush.

He is a renound bushcrafter and survival guy from the Uk, and used to be Ray Mears business partner.

I taught him and another group how to trap, live and survive long term in the winter in northern Ontario. Was a fun course. Ate beaver, rabbit, etc. I'll try find some pics.

Survivorman is the only true survivor show. All the others had/have a crew around them.

Coldest I've been a night in the tent was -38.

And speaking of alone, my good friend Kielyn was runner up on season 7 of alone. She ran a survival course the same week I did the trapping course last winter in the same area.

She got hammered and made a hilarious speech at my wedding. Lol.

Also I hear there's an actual market for raccoon meat in the southern US.

-38 would be brutal. I think the coldest I've spent out was in snow caves back when I was a boy scout leader and it was in the low single digits, maybe around zero F.

I haven't seen season 7 yet, but I'll have to keep an eye out for her.

After smelling a few, I'd have to be near starving, lol.

Snow caves are comfortable. We usually use lightweight portable canvas tents and portable wood stoves pulled on uhmw toboggans. You can live comfortably all winter like that if you have food, ie hunting and trapping

She said the loneliness made her a bit wonky. She cried over a dead rabbit lol.
