New Starbucks employee laughed in my face today

Went to Starbucks for a lunch time coffee and asked for my usual caramel latte with oat milk and light cream.

A new worker wearing a training badge takes my order and begins making the drink over at their station.

After receiving the drink and sitting down at a table, I ignore the first red flag where they have completely misspelled my very common name ("Peter" became "Petar") and take a large sip.

Immediately recognize he has put soy milk in due to the lack of thickness and weird as fuk aftertaste. I remove the lid and the light cream I asked for is nowhere to be found either.

Now I walk back to the counter to ask him to remake my drink as he has clearly done it wrong.

This fuker looks me dead in the eyes and says "I don't make mistakes". I show him the obvious lack of cream in the cup and he explains "the cream has already melted". I tell him he should have used oat milk as requested and he just shrugs before pointing at the full jug of oat milk next to him. I demand to speak to a manager and I'm told "he's outside smoking, I can't disturb him on his break so come back in an hour".

After a deep sigh I take the store's details, including his employee name before saying I will get this chit resolved with a superior. The dude starts laughing hard and mid chuckle says "It's coffee, it's not that serious bud."

I'm currently sat in my car deciding how to proceed against this fukwit, by either phoning back later today before the store closes or contacting corporate directly

Sounds like you deserved it for going there in the first place.

I use to think the same thing about Starbucks but came to really enjoy their product but with that said. If your story is true I'd say you handled it well and the clowns response to you of "I don't make mistakes" fits the Starbucks culture well.

Just call the manager, speak professional explain you are not calling trying to get a replacement drink but to make him/her aware of the idiots behavior who is working under them

Should ask that foo foo lame if he wanted smoke in front of everybody.

Guarantee that foo foo lame would be sipping latte through a straw his entire life if you laid him out like a brick mason.

Soy milk in a coffee is a major faux pas and worth fighting over. Oat milk is much better.

I wish a fast food worker would tell me they don't make mistakes. I'd tell them they're working fast food, their whole life is a mistake.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
