The OP is about the effects on the electorate regarding Legal immigration. All the left needs is for Legal immigrants to show up and it's game over for the right.

There's also over 13 million legal immigrants who are eligible to become naturalized but as of yet aren't. It's why the left pushes so hard to get Legal immigrants naturalized and to the polls.

You are correct that demographics matter in electoral politics right now but to the degree and direction is variable.

America must have a two party system, if what you say is true then we will be a one party, leftist nation.

This is not possible because American politics work because we have a two party system.

Both sides support the other, neither want to dominate, they support the stat-quo.

Open one party systems direct the People's attention where it need not be.

The Ds will force the hispanic vote into the R column if it is required.

The Rs will force their voters to capitulate to hispanics to "win".

Just as we have "pro-choicers" saying that is a losing battle.

By Asian, who exactly? Orientals? They seem pretty conservative, or at least in the Bay Area of Californian and Inland Empire area of California.

Think Graham pushing a DOA national abortion ban right before election time.
