Comparison is the thief of joy
Grass is always greener on the other side.
I think a large part of upset on the internet, including these forums, is people not getting any sex or getting relationships. But during these outbursts of blogging, they are clearly conveying one or two of the following two things: 1) mental illness. 2) disregard for the fact that they aren't having to deal with other people's drama (which is implied from dealing with other women/men for sex/relationship).
We all have that idea of what a good relationship, marriage, sex life, etc. is like. And you acknowledge others who have something identical to what is your ideal. And you feel you are owed what you want, regardless of all circumstances and situations related to yourself and your own actual value (SMV).
The internet would be a better place if people looked at the bright side of their situations at all times. Even if you acknowledge there's better situations out there, at least yours doesn't have nearly the toxicity or negativity that many many many many others has.
Perhaps "comparison is thief of joy" is a bit too simple. Perhaps it's better to say "comparison related to your ideals is the thief of joy, and comparison related to what you're already ahead of is disregarded too often."

Some truth in what you say.the grass is greener syndrome robs many people of current happiness because they are usually greedy in their wants and needs and want more or want better..
When in reality what they deem as better is only a fixation in the mind..
It's only human nature for man or woman to want a partner , friends, someone to spend time with but I personally would choose to be alone any day of the week compared to just being with any Ole person for the sake of companionship. Especially when most people that do that settle for it when they have absolutely no desire for that person no attraction to that person no shared dreams with that person.
It's always good to strive to better ones life. It's not just in the way you go about making it better but what you are putting value on thinking it will make it better that is important.
Jealous envious people are dangerous people. Dangerous and sick. They see other people who got lucky and found their happiness and they are not happy unless they take away or Try to take away said people happiness.
This is why everyone should choose their friends and inner circle carefully.
No friends is better than bad/false friends
