My thoughts on the Napoleon movie

Brahs i was hyped for this movie for months because i love the napoleonic wars and history in general.

I wont spoil anything but this movie is 90% focused on him being a cuck/inability to procreate & his obession with Josephine.

Do not get baited into going to see this thinking its a "war" movie, there's 2-3 "battles" (best parts) which are laughably small & historically innacurate with so much waiting time inbetween only because it's more of a romance movie focused on his sloot wife.

Joaquin Phoenix kept a similar style to the Joker movie, he came across as an awkward incel which made the whole thing comedic and cringe coupled with the movie trying to make weak jokes, they really portrayed Napoleon as a weak fragile white man who's only empowered by his wife.

Overall 3.8/10 movie would not recommend, it's just slightly better than Oppenheimer but it's a complete snoozefest nonetheless, just stream it and save your money srs.

Pretty much agree with everything you said and was also let down after looking forward to watching for awhile. I’m a fan of Joaquin Phoenix i guess but he was not the right actor for that role. Also hated how much screen time they spent on Napoleons relationship with his wife. Napoleon was a conqueror and the movie should have been focused on that, not getting cucked by his wife

Keep in mind it’s not Joaquin’s fault that they cucked Napoleon, it was still worth a watch for me but nothing to write home about.

I saw it and thought it was a 6 being generous.

Honestly the 10 minutes of Napoleon in the Count of Monte Cristo was better than the 3 hours of him in this though. Let that sink in.
